Final project Graphic design

Groene vingers, the Vegetable Garden of Print and Design is the final project I created after completing my three-year Graphic Design program at Artevelde University of Applied Sciences. This two-part book serves as a beginner’s guide to a variety of traditional printmaking techniques, including Risograph, linocut, engraving, monoprint, and screen printing.

As our education focused almost entirely on digital design, many of these techniques have gradually fallen into obscurity. Yet, I believe they offer enormous value to graphic designers by expanding the creative process and encouraging experimentation. Just as importantly, I wanted to emphasize the importance of working physically with paper, ink, composition, and printing again, rather than relying solely on a screen.

To bring these techniques to life, I also organized and led workshops where participants could learn and experience them firsthand.
